Our Beliefs and Values

We are a values-based organization. Our beliefs and values guide all our collaboration, from whom we serve to how we contribute globally and how we grow together.

Our collaboration and work at the Center for Healthy Development is guided by 9 core Beliefs and Values. All of us, Board, Technical and Strategy Advisory Group, and Global Associated Expert members embrace these beliefs and values in our collaboration and contribution globally.

• We are an independent, not-for-profit technical organization that bases its advice and training on the best available analytical and policy evidence.
• We believe in a systemic and multi-sectorial approach to improving health, financial protection, dignity of care and inclusion.
• We support public, private and donor leaders, as well as families exclusively and only in their efforts to improve health, financial protection, care dignity and inclusion of individuals and populations in a sustainable way.
• We aspire to be a thought-partner for leaders and partners in their journey of transformation. They are the protagonists of their destiny, not us.
• We strive for solutions beyond diagnostics. We work together with leaders and partners in finding, developing, and implementing feasible and sustainable solutions that improve health and the performance of their health systems.
• We believe the long-term interest of leaders, communities, partners, and families is first.
• We aspire to be an organization based on merit, conducive to the intellectual and emotional intelligence growth of our members and an incubator of values-based health leaders.
• We believe in the obligation to constructively dissent internally and globally.
• We aspire to be a non-hierarchical collaborative organization, building on collective leadership.
